Aimee Olexy&#8217;s collaboration with Stephen Starr turned a corner of Washington Square into Philadelphia&#8217;s defining farm-to-table dining room \u2014 a place where the menu is written by local farms, the bread is baked in-house and the cheese course is an event with its own following.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Story\"><\/span>The Story<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Olexy&#8217;s r\u00e9sum\u00e9 reads like a fairy tale of American food: Django, her tiny early-2000s sensation, then Talula&#8217;s Table in Kennett Square, whose lone farmhouse chef&#8217;s table became known as the hardest booking in the country. In 2011 she and Starr opened Talula&#8217;s Garden, named for her daughter Annalee Talula Rae, translating that countryside intimacy to the city.
