About the salon

Salon Norman Dee is a full-service Northeast Philadelphia salon built on scale and structure rather than boutique exclusivity. Owner Christy Stefanelli, a Level 4 colorist with more than twenty years behind the chair, runs a team of roughly two dozen professionals graded across a four-level system. Long days from Tuesday through the weekend suit people who cannot take an afternoon off.

Services

The floor covers cutting for women, men and children, single-process color, root touch-ups, balayage and color correction, blowouts and formal styling. Keratin smoothing and perms handle texture in both directions. Beyond hair, the salon does waxing, makeup application, lash service, full bridal work and barbering.

Technology and brands

The color bar leans on Wella and Redken for classic and gray-coverage work and on Pulp Riot for vivid fashion shades most neighborhood salons will not attempt. Olaplex is built into lightening to protect the bond structure, Bumble and bumble stocks the styling shelf, and smoothing runs on the Lasio keratin system. Tools and stations are disinfected between guests under state licensing rules.

Team and stylists

Christy Stefanelli sets the standard as owner and colorist. The four-level ladder is the salon’s own quality system: stylists move up as their training and portfolio justify it, so a straightforward cut and a full corrective color are not booked the same way. The bench includes a stylist trained at the Vidal Sassoon Academy and published in the trade press, and a makeup artist with television credits.

The Space

This is a suite format rather than a storefront: a large, bright open floor with a long row of stations, a dedicated color bar and a separate shampoo area. The scale means several services run at once without anyone waiting for a bowl or a dryer, and a bridal party never takes the room hostage.
